As a Data Solutions Consultant at Blis...

Build the data backbone for our customers. From raw data to reliable insights into Power BI. You design and realize the pipelines, models and architecture that make this possible.

You do not work from behind a ticket system, but sit at the table with customers. In conversation with stakeholders, so you understand what you're building and why. You do that in a small and agile team, directly with the customer. From the first question to workable insights that make decisions.

What are you going to do?

• You set up data architectures according to the medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)

• You build ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Data Factory, Fabric, or Databricks

• You ensure that data that lands in Power BI is accurate, clean and scalable

• You take end-to-end responsibility: from intake and design to deployment

• You can substantiate technical choices towards both developers and business stakeholders.

You are technically strong enough to build yourself, and communicative enough to explain to a customer why something takes three weeks instead of three days.

What do you bring?

• At least 8 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role

• Strong SQL skills and experience with Microsoft data platforms and relational databases

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (Fabric, Azure SQL, Databricks)

• Proven experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines (ADF, Fabric Pipelines, Databricks)

• Experience with Python for data processing, automation and pipeline development

• Solid knowledge of data warehousing: dimensional modelling, best practices and medallion architecture

• Basic knowledge of Power BI - you don't build dashboards, but understand what the BI layer needs

• A proven track record in delivering data projects end-to-end

• The ability to switch between a technical conversation with developers and a functional conversation with product owners or managers.

You are a strong generalist. Someone who oversees everything from pipeline to data model to customer conversation and can also deliver it himself.

You feel at home in customer conversations, you collect requirements, manage expectations and translate them into a clear technical approach. You understand that the best solution is useless if the customer doesn't understand what you're delivering.

You're not waiting. You fix it. You dare to try things out, accept that not everything works out at once and learn quickly from what goes wrong. You have a healthy allergy to “we always do that” and a natural tendency to make things smarter and better.

What do we offer you?

• Gross salary of €4,500—€6,900 based on 40 hours

• Annual profit sharing (we don't believe in individual bonuses; we achieve success together)

• 25 vacation days

• 1-year contract with a view to a permanent contract

• Home office worth 250, -

• Hybrid work: 2-3 days at the office in Barendrecht or with the customer
